googles new favicon
This week the BBC website had a very interesting article about googles new favicon
see here . See some of the contenders above… While we agree it’s great that google remain so fresh, we are a bit wary of their
statement that “Logos are set to become fluid, ever-changing, customisable, even personalised entities
and Google is the first global brand that understands this,”
We feel a logo should stand the test of time, and while it’s all very well for some companies who
don’t necessary deal in commodities to rebrand (imagine rebranding Coca-cola or Disney and all the merchandising
associated with the rebrand), we think that maybe google just cant make up their minds!
